[ubuntu] Nautilus FTP doesn’t work when port forwarding

I want to use Nautilus on my laptop to browse the ftp shared files on my pc.
When I use Nautilus to connect to my pc on the LAN, everything works fine. When using the ftp command to connect to my pc using an external ip address, it works fine as well.
But when I try to connect to my pc using Nautilus and an external ip address, Nautilus keeps loading for a very long time and eventually gives the following error:

Sorry, could not display all the contents of "/ on my.domain": DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

I am able to browse files using Nautilus and ftp on an external server.

‘Aldabra’ – GTK2 port of GNOME 3′s default theme

GNOME 3’s default theme is a pale, elegant affair. Granted the window controls are a bit on the, shall we say beefier side, but it’s still a great theme that is very easy on the eye.
