Ubuntu Linux Booting and Running on HTC HD2 – Fully Functional!

EDIT: It does actually make calls and call the number but there is no sound. Here I have my T-Mobile HTC HD2, which is a Windows Mobile phone and I am going to boot Ubuntu on it. Ubuntu is a Linux Operating System for desktop and Laptop computers. It runs very nicely and is very smooth. It has text and 3G internet and all features of Ubuntu. It can’t make calls as of yet due to lack of drivers for the phone/modem. Developer’s Site: htc-linux.org Download here: gamesquare.co.uk

[ubuntu] pc boots to Win 7 or Linux Mint, but not newly installed Ubuntu 12.04

My pc has previously installed Win 7 and Linux Mint 12 OS. I just now installed Ubuntu 12.04 on a 20GB partition. The installation proceeded smoothly and then requested a re-boot. Upon re-booting the previous Grub from Linux Mint appeared and booted normally – without any option to boot to Ubuntu.

How can I get an option to boot to the new Ubuntu installation?

Ubuntu 11.04 Review – Linux Distro Reviews

A rather in depth review of Ubuntu 11.04 Beta 1. Sporting the new Unity Interface, Ubuntu is now bringing something unique to the buffet of distros out there. Overall, bugs are present as it’s only a beta, but definitely shows promise as the new UI and bundled apps create a cohesive user experience that’s logical and easy to pick up and use. Excellent execution on the part of the Ubuntu devs, they’ve been working incredibly hard, and their work truly shows. Full release due at the end of April 2011.

Just a quick look at the latest Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 1, and some of my own thoughts on the future of not just the Linux Desktop, but THE COMPUTING DESKTOP including Windows 8 and Mac OS X Lion and Mountain Lion! You can find me here: Google+ plus.google.com Twitter: @ingalactic Peace!
