Serv-U FTP Server Added to SUSE Linux Enterprise Software Catalog

Serv-U FTP server has been added to the SUSE Enterprise Linux product catalog.

Serv-U FTP Server was added to the official SUSE Enterprise Linux product catalog today as a secure file transfer application after RhinoSoft joined the SUSE partner program as an independent software vendor (ISV).

“When we ported Serv-U to Linux last year it gave Linux administrators new FTP server capabilities like web-based administration, mobile transfers and integration with third-party portals,” said RhinoSoft President Mark Peterson. “This week we reaffirmed our commitment to the Linux community by aligning with the original provider of enterprise Linux distributions.”

Serv-U’s Linux support extends across its entire Serv-U product line. Included are four editions of Serv-U (Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum) and both Serv-U modules: FTP Voyager JV for rich web transfers, and Serv-U Gateway for DMZ deployments.

In addition to SUSE, Serv-U also supports Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Fedora, Ubuntu, Mint, CentOS and the Amazon Linux AMI for its EC2 cloud computing deployment.

Despite its name the SUSE product catalog is not an onsite store but rather a reference for SUSE customers looking for secure file transfer and other solutions.
