MegaMeeting.com Releases Update for ShowMyDesktop Tool

MegaMeeting.com Releases Update for ShowMyDesktop Tool

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 13, 2012

MegaMeeting.com, a web-based product focused on providing worldwide businesses and organizations with a hassle-free and easy way to communicate through video and web conferencing, has announced today the release of an update to their current ShowMyDesktop tool.

ShowMyDesktop is one of many robust tools built into MegaMeeting.com’s web-based video conferencing product. ShowMyDesktop allows meeting hosts to show PowerPoint presentations, documents, websites, active applications and more without uploading anything prior to the meeting. Previous ShowMyDesktop versions were based on a technology which used the camera driver of the host’s computer in order for them to display their active desktop.

The new version of MegaMeeting.com’s ShowMyDesktop is developed on the Java platform, giving it the flexibility to run seamlessly across multiple platforms, such as Microsoft Windows, Mac Mountain Lion, Lion and Snow Leopard as well as Linux workstations such as Red Hat and Ubuntu.

Some of the other features included in MegaMeeting.com’s latest version of ShowMyDesktop include:

The ability to display large monitors running at ultra-high resolution
The ability to choose from multiple monitors
Selected application is now fully supported
Tray icon alerting the presenter that their desktop is being shared
    Remote control functionality

“MegaMeeting.com’s new ShowMyDesktop is an easy, on demand, ad-hoc program available for meeting participants who need to share their desktop.” stated Scott Goldman, Chief Technology Officer at MegaMeeting.com, “MegaMeeting.com has already proved to be a powerful tool for those companies looking to hold video or web conferences around the world. The new version of ShowMyDeskop strengthens the product offering and provides more flexibility to those using it.”

[ubuntu] gnome-shell fails after nvidia driver update

I have been having this problem since I installed ubuntu 11.10 on my laptop. After installation everything was fine, I installed gnome 3 and restarted computer. It was working fine until I upgraded nvidia driver from 173 to the "recommended" via additional drivers and restated again. I have noticed gnome with effects fails but with no effects working fine. I re-format the computer and made fresh install again and installed gnome 3. It was working again until I upgraded the nvidia driver. I have tired to install nvidia before and than gnome 3 but this did not work either. Nothing(keyboard, mouse even on/off button) when I turn it on with gnome(with effects). If somebody has any idea how to solve this, please tell me. Unity is not what I really want to use.
